General

Scan the same barcode to start and stop the recording.

Continuous

Scan the next barcode to automatically save the previous recording and start a new one.

End Mapping

Scan a start barcode to begin recording. (Any barcode or keyboard input is allowed.) The video is saved based on the barcode scanned at the end of the recording. [Use Case] Integrating with a WMS product inspection feature where the shipping label is printed later.

End Mapping-Contiuous

Scan a start barcode to begin recording. ( Any barcode or keyboard input is allowed.)* The video is saved based on the barcode scanned at the end, and the next recording starts automatically for continuous operation. [Use Case] Integrating with a WMS product inspection feature where the shipping label is printed later.

Return

Scan the return label barcode to start recording. Scan the item barcodes one by one to add them to the on-screen list. Scan the return label barcode again to save the video and item list online.

Pad

This method uses the Realpacking pad-type scanner set. Place the shipping label on the pad to start recording. Remove the label when finished to stop recording.

This recording method automatically recognizes barcodes via the camera to start recording.

Auto Recognition

Record without a barcode scanner. Show the barcode to the camera to automatically start recording. Remove the shipping label from the camera's view to stop recording.

Register order information in Web Admin > Order List in advance to use the inspection feature. Recording will not start and a warning will appear for invalid shipping labels.

Product Inspection General

The starting method is the same as the standard order inspection. After packing, scan the next barcode to automatically save the previous inspection results and recording, and start a new one.

Realpacking's motion detection feature was developed based on actual feedback from our clients' operational environments.

For example, at one logistics center, while the actual loading and unloading process for trunk line operations takes only 10-20 minutes, the total recording time often exceeded an hour due to capturing forklift movements and waiting periods. Similarly, in dried food and food manufacturing facilities, the lengthy drying or cooking processes with minimal movement resulted in unnecessary video data accumulation during periods of little to no activity.

To address these challenges where recording duration far exceeded the actual meaningful work periods, we developed motion detection that automatically records only when movement occurs and pauses when there's no activity.

The Motion Detection feature is available after updating to Realpacking Recorder v3.5.0-Beta.

  1. Check "Enable Motion Detection" in camera settings.

  2. Adjust sensitivity while monitoring the person icon in the bottom-left corner of the preview screen.

  3. After setting appropriate sensitivity, start recording – the system will automatically pause and resume based on detected movement.

Sensitivity adjustment is crucial. If set too high, the system will react to minor changes; if too low, it may miss actual movement. Adjust according to your work environment using our recommended values as a reference.‍

Recommended Sensitivity Values by Resolution

  • VGA, SVGA → approximately 80

  • HD-FHD → approximately 95-97‍

Motion detection is particularly optimized for situations requiring long-duration recording where meaningful segments are limited. It's especially useful for logistics center loading/unloading operations with freight handling, specific manufacturing process stages, or traditional food processing facilities with extended curing periods – scenarios where you want to capture only key processes within hours of operation.‍

Important Notes

  • When motion detection mode is active, resource usage increases compared to normal mode, potentially causing screen artifacts.

  • Motion detection only controls pause/resume during recording; start/stop recording functions operate the same as before.

By using Compact Mode, you can reduce the Realpacking Recorder screen to a smaller, more compact size.

Videos recorded in the Realpacking Recorder can be reviewed in the Video List.
